Kingsbridge Marble Quarry

    I thought this was an interesting ad from “The Evening Post” – 1/27/1831

    From everything I’ve read, the Marble actually wasn’t actually that great for buildings as it weathers quite easily.

    Do we know of any notable buildings that may have been built with rocks from this quarry?

    I’ve always assumed the Seaman-Drake arch was built of this marble but maybe I’m just connecting dots.
