Help us restore EDGEHILL

Electrifying news:

As exciting as this is…

The total cost of the project exceeds the grant amount so we are asking for your support. The good news is that an anonymous donor has pledged to match your donation up to a total of $8,000, doubling the impact of every dollar you contribute.  Please make a generous donation today.

A little more about the project:

Antiquated light switches in Edgehill that would have been familiar to Thomas Edison.

The wiring in Edgehill is the original wiring.  It really is not up to modern standards and there are nests of extension cords everywhere you look.  This project will replace that wiring and add functional outlets.  Emergency exit signage, new smoke detectors, and ceiling fans will also be installed.  Our downstairs community room, known affectionately as “the undercroft,” has been a wreck for decades—with damaged walls, ceilings and non-functional ceiling lights.  This project will add new lighting, outlets, and exit signs to the undercroft.  The walls and ceilings will be redone.  The room will be ideal for smaller community gatherings, exhibits, and performances.

Our goal is to meet or exceed the full matching amount. Your gift during this time will help ensure Edgehill is not only preserved but fully equipped to serve our community’s needs safely and sustainably for years to come.  We invite you to be part of this pivotal moment. Donations of any size are welcome and will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach our goal. Please consider making a contribution and sharing this email with fellow local history enthusiasts and community supporters.
