Need Help Reading a Map

I am wondering if anyone can help me read the name on the upper left of the map above “Betts.”  This is a map from the Revolution that is unlabeled and no one really knows who made it or where it came from.  That is the Hudson on the left and northern Manhattan on the bottom.

Birlefy, Birleff Burlefy Barleff … none of them sound like a name though.
