I just heard from the sculptor, Michael Keropian, that the town of Fishkill, N.Y. is funding his monument to Sachem Daniel Nimham, the Wappinger leader who was killed in the American Revolution by British troops in today’s Van Cortlandt Park. This happened during a skirmish or battle that goes by several names: The Stockbridge Indian Massacre or The Battle of Kingsbridge or the Battle of Cortlandt’s Woods.

The bad news is they are about an inch tall and you have to paint them yourself. You can get the Queen’s Rangers cavalry, the Hessian Jaegers and make yourself a diorama!
