    Tangential to this thread: there was a time when the clergy of all faiths/denominations of Riverdale worked together and sponsored an annual community inter-faith Thanksgiving service. The gathering, usually on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, rotated among houses of worship. Wouldn’t it be fantastic for Edgehill to host this sort of interfaith celebration of our national holiday and to revive the community spirit?

    There are a number of places where the official city map differs from the actual street. Another example is Sycamore Avenue. The official map indicates that it continues southward in a fairly straight line, across Wave Hill’s property. The actual Sycamore curves east before going south and then ends where 252nd Street begins. Changing the official city map is an expensive, massive legal process without clear outcome…

    This looks like the Victorian on Independence Avenue, just south of the intersection with 254th Street, on the west side of the avenue in today’s “Historic District.” I can’t decipher the name either.
