Now Riverdale Manor – Broadway & 254th
The Windsor South has a large pool or maybe the old Riverdale Y on Independence Ave had one ??
Looks like a 1960 ad from a real estate brochure. Maybe Sky View
It appears that Mr. Barton is 77 and living in NJ with his son. His wife passed away in 2009. I could not find out if his wife was part of the heist. I do remember when this happened.

It was not a matter of the people of Riverdale not wanting to be a part of Yonkers. When Yonkers was incorporated, it was decided to exclude the Irish Catholics in the southern district.
Booker T. Washington visited the Huntington Free Library in the Bronx, twice. Mr. Huntington funded many school buildings at Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute (now Tuskegee University). You can see his signature in our Historic guestbook.
Beverly Michaels movie credits from imdb.com

Its October 7th and as I sip Pina Coladas in St. Augustine, I just enjoyed a stroll and cider via 1776 Kingsbridge. Thank you

University Heights Senior Apartments. Fitch Hospital 123 West 183 Street at Sedgwick & Loring Place.

Nick, Very interesting read….However, no where in this well written narrative is details of who the author is ! Just like Mr. ??? (Thomas G. Caceci ) Mr. Thomas X. Casey had to do some detective work. First, I knew he was born at Fitch Hospital, since I had rare postcard of this Hospital that became University Heights Senior Apartments. Fitch Hospital 123 West 183 Street at Sedgwick & Loring Place. Looking up the deed of Sale for 3121 Kingsbridge Avenue in 1981 provided the Father & Son’s names

Nick
Was Mr. Cronin’s name on the deed listing ? I could not find it.
Teddy Roosevelt spent 2 summers at Wave Hill in 1870 and 1871. I am sure this is when he established his friendship with someone in Riverdale.

I do know if you sent me a few pages of Leonard Brown’s will of 1752 where he names his son Robert. Is this the same Robert Brown that is in the 1775 militia ? See partial listing and ranks attached.
